Yoga Teacher Mentorship

About the Evolve Yoga Teacher Mentorship Program

The EYTM provides a unique experience in continuing education.

This program is for teachers who want to tune into their own voice beyond the asana and cues they've been taught and develop essential skills to strengthen their understanding of how to create connections through themselves and subsequently the people they will work with.

This program is comprised of 3 weekends, 3 Connection Calls and 3 private sessions to receive personalized attention on your specific goals.

This 3-month series is for those wanting to enrich their entire teaching toolbox with 40hrs of continuing education.

In addition to instruction, each module includes handouts, homework and action steps to help achieve the specific goals set by you.

When I learned to teach yoga, there was very little support after my 200hr training. I struggled with extreme shyness and anxiety around teaching yoga – yet I knew it was something I sincerely wanted to do.  It wasn’t easy, and for the first few years, every class I taught was a challenge for me on the inside. I would be sick in the bathroom with fear. Fortunately, I found two senior teachers who took me under their wing and helped me take flight with the unique gifts I have to offer.

I am grateful to have been mentored privately and continue to seek guidance from teachers who inspire me to grow.  I no longer get sick before I teach thanks to support from people who helped me move past my fears. Now, I'm passionate about guiding both new teachers and those who've completed multiple trainings. One of my talents is being able to help people with their blind spots and once you become aware of those things it makes moving forward so much more rewarding and successful.

I would love to support you on your journey!

Module 1: Shine The Light Inward

April 20 – 21 |  Saturday & Sunday 1:30PM–6:30 PM

Leading people into the wilds of their inner landscape is no easy task.

It requires us, as guides, to first be deeply connected to our own journey and

process. We can then uphold healthy boundaries, stay authentic, and create a

safe and sacred space for students to thrive.

It is from this place of inner connection that we can radiate out and connect

with others.

This module shines the light inward in order to help you radiate more clearly

from your center. When we are centered in ourselves we have the  ability to

align with the highest good for all beings.

Participants in this module will:

  • Gain confidence in the seat of the teacher.

  • Discover the many group dynamics that arise within a class setting.

  • Root into the truth of your being and share authentically.

  • Release unhealthy tendencies that keep you and your students stuck.

  • Create a foundation for personal evolution.

Module 2: Shine The Light Outward

May 19-18 |  Saturday & Sunday 1:30PM - 6:30PM

Connection occurs when we feel seen, heard and valued and when we derive

sustenance from our interactions. Your students provide you with clues and

cues through their posture, their language, and their presence. Discover how

context in your teaching can enrich your classes, private sessions, and

workshops. Context radiates connection and illuminates awareness in the

practice of yoga and in life.

This module helps you expand your ability to see your student’s bodies through the lenses of anatomy and biomechanics, while honing your intuition and understanding. Hear your students with a level of depth that allows you to create sequences, cues, and alignment offerings that truly honor the individual and the group.

Participants in this module will:

  • Learn why traditional yoga poses don’t fit every body and how to check your student's ROM before introducing certain poses.

  • Experience a “learn by doing” approach so you can work with your new skills right away.

  • Teach you how to conduct successful private sessions with the ability to zero in on the student’s individual needs.

  • Learn your own body blind spots, and what your posture reveals about you.

  • Recognize how to successfully provide demos and connect with visual learners.

Module 3: In The Light Of Yoga

June 15 - 16 | Saturday & Sunday 1:30PM - 6:30PM

Great yoga classes are built on presence. You're ability to stay embodied while

expanding your teaching skill is what will set your classes, private sessions and

workshops apart. Yoga is a living tradition and thrives not only from the gifts we

receive from it, but also what we give.

In the module, you’ll learn to find your own way, teach what interests you, and create sequences that are uniquely yours. Your sequencing will communicate your knowledge of the body, the expression of your unique voice, and the experience of your personal practice.

Participants in this module will:

  • Develop a personal practice to nurture and grow.

  • Use your observational skills from the previous modules to determine ROM and whether poses are accessible to your students.

  • Discover how to workshop poses and break down movements, so each student feels successful in their practice.

  • Walk away with innovative sequencing tools to teach private sessions, workshops, and group classes.

  • Learn how to cook up fresh sequences that keep you and your students inspired to practice.

Connection Calls

May 30th | Wednesday 7-8 pm

Each call will weave a teaching theme, guided reflection, and be accompanied by worksheets along with Q & A time.

2 Private Sessions

Each participant will receive two 1hr private sessions of personalized support.

To be scheduled within the months of April & June.
