This 6 week series is a living breathing practice to improve awareness, embodied presence and improve your posture by aligning and a-tuning to your unique needs. Tuesdays, Jan 23 - Feb 27th 5:30pm-7pm. No drop in's.

About the Event
Evolve yoga is a practice where tradition meets modern movement science. The poses are sequenced skillfully and sustainably at this intersection, inviting students to use the poses to get into their bodies rather than using their bodies to get into poses. It's here we can integrate presence with an embodied transformation.
Yoga is a living tradition - a practice that evolves with the times. Like anything living, it gives and receives and requires nurturing and nourishment.
You'll walk away from this class both nourished and nurtured in a way that is meaningful to you personally.
We know we have transformed when our actions align with our vision and values, even under the same old pressures.
Our series begins with aligning and acting with your "why" and invitation to set an intention for our session series. From there, we'll unravel confusion around the breath and practice aligning with this unique tool that can alter our mind and body states.
Session 2: Explore and discover unique practices and postures beginning to release tension in the neck, and provide postural feedback to align with over and over again. This session covers the hands, shoulders, and neck to help navigate common areas of body confusion and bring awareness and action to clarify the best way to move forward.
Session 3: Connecting by bringing back the foundations of breath learned in session one, you'll have the opportunity to move and breathe from a place of stability as you build a better relationship with this power center that goes beyond pulling your navel to your spine and tucking your tailbone but instead imparts and empowers the responsive and adaptive core strength to embolden our posture and align in our bodies better.
Session 4: Riffs off of the previous three sessions to circumnavigate the lower back and pelvis connection and, from there, the hips, where you'll have the opportunity to bring to life areas of movement often missed in our daily lives and most yoga practices.
Session 5: Takes us from the floor to the core as we navigate the feet, ankles, knees, and hips as they support us from the ground up. You'll have the opportunity to improve balance and organize in space around the foundational aspects of our body as we walk through the world.
Session 6: Our final session will be a total body a-tuning from the ground up, integrating core concepts gleaned in the previous 5 sessions and putting together embodied transformation that you can sense and feel in practice
Each session includes breathwork, asana (postures), and meditation. A PDF of session highlights to build your practice at home or on the go is included - by the end of the series, you'll have six practices to pull from to inspire future connections on and off the mat.
These sessions are not designed to be prescriptive but inspirational to sense and feel in new ways so you can embody your body more efficiently, with less discomfort, and improve confidence as you move forward.
